All programmes are based on a personal plan, which we call Plan 1 year + everything begins with treatment.<\/p><p>During your treatment, therapists will work with you on the causes of your dependence  and  you will share your feelings, emotions and experience with other clients during group therapy.<\/p><p>Our programme is orientated towards the future. During the treatment programme, our therapists will help you create a plan for the year ahead, a plan that will have versions A, B and even C, because having a plan and rules is crucial in the beginnings of abstinence.<\/p><p>Our team will be by your side, you will always be able to contact us for advice, not only in relation to additional treatment, but also during individual interviews I was able to see from the very beginning of my treatment that the Centre is managed very professionally and on a highly qualified level. The selected team of staff for psychotherapy, coaching, peer consultation, yoga and art therapy is truly first-class! The group therapy and individual therapy they provided helped me overcome the initial challenges of recovery from my alcohol dependence. And the support they provided also had a clear impact on other clients. Our progress in treatment was clearly evident day by day. As time passed, I felt that my physical and mental health continued to improve. My sleep improved substantially, I had not slept as well or as long in many years. My blood pressure became excellent and basically reached ideal values, which I had been unable to achieve for many years (despite taking medication), my mental health and balance, and also my outlook improved. My two good friends and work colleagues arranged for me to stay at this Centre, because they could no longer stand by as they watched alcohol destroy my health and have a generally devastating effect on me. They arranged my treatment with Mrs Duffkov\u00e1, the owner and operator of the Centre, and essentially arranged everything necessary on my behalf. They presented me with a complete plan and proposal and asked me whether I would agree to treatment at this Centre. And I agreed immediately! I took no heed of any initial doubts from people around me due to the fact that the Centre was new, just opened, had no references, etc. I found out as much as possible about Mrs Duffkov\u00e1 from public sources and I stood firm by my decision. After a two-week stay in a closed detoxication ward at the Central Military Hospital in St\u0159e\u0161ovice (which I rate very highly!), I started my residential treatment on 1 June 2021. I chose the maximum length of treatment, with accommodation at the Centre and I only travelled home on the weekends. I was able to say anything at all among my equals (clients and therapists), express my emotions (and not be embarrassed by them) and feel good, as if I were among people I knew, among friends. I noticed that I lost a considerable amount of weight, my eyes became clearer, my facial appearance improved, my face was no longer swollen, I was able to think more clearly and express myself more easily. And this was all confirmed whenever I met friends, acquaintances, colleagues, neighbours, essentially everyone who knew me. I heard praise from so many people, because they noticed all the improvements. And what a wonderful feeling it was to hear all this praise! Which I still experience, because I keep receiving praise. All the above simply reinforces my belief that I made the right decision to stop destroying myself with alcohol and start living a full life again, like I lived before (long) in the past. I needed help to make the decision to start this journey and I received it from good friends who were not indifferent to what happened to me. I was also supported by the wonderful, honest work and sincere efforts of the entire Alkos Centre team and especially Mrs Michaela Duffkov\u00e1.
